Always keep a separate brush for your human hair lace wigs so that you are not putting grease from your own hair onto your wig. This way it will need washing much less often. Never brush it quickly as this can cause static and spoil the fibre. I would not recommend sleeping in your wig as this will cause matting of the fibre.
Always de-tangle your wig gently before washing it. Fill a bowl with either cold or tepid water. Never ever hot water. Add a little wig shampoo or a mild baby shampoo to the water. Then gently dunk your wig up and down to cleanse it. Never rub or scrub at it as this can cause matting. When finished empty the bowl and refill with fresh cold water and again dunk your wig up and down gently to remove all traces of shampoo. Get another bowl of tepid water and add a little wig conditioner as a final rinse. If you do not have any wig conditioner use a little fabric softener like Lenor or Comfort or something similar to prevent static. Remember the fibre is synthetic like nylon so a normal hair conditioner will not do.
After your final rinse wrap your remy lace wigs in a towel and gently pat dry. Do not wring it out or twist and squeeze it. Give it gentle shake and then put your hand inside and form the head shape. Leave to dry naturally away from any direct or indirect heat. Never use a hair dryer, never leave on a radiator as the excessive heat would melt it as it is nylon. When it is completely dry just brush into style as normal.
You mention Human Hair wigs, they are much, much more expensive, a lot heavier to wear and they react like your own hair would, in other words if you go out in the rain the rain will effect the style and it will drop. This does not happen with synthetic wigs, they keep their stylein wet weather or if you are hot. The fibre is now so good if you buy a good synthetic wig, they look like Human Hair. You can also buy many more for the cost of one Human Hair wig.
