With the Burner SuperFast 2.0 and SuperFast 2.0 TP, TaylorMade hopes to make a fast club even faster.
Like the R11 driver, the first thing you'll notice about the SuperFast 2.0 is its white crown. By designing a driver with a black face and a white, matte-finished crown, TaylorMade is trying to create the most contrast possible in order to help golfers align the club more easily. The white crown also eliminates hot spots and glare that are often created with glossy-topped clubs.
The TaylorMade Burner Superfast 2.0 Driver offers exceptional distance with extremely light weight. The aggressive head shape features drag-reducing geometry on the sole with a tapered back end for faster overall swing speeds which translates to more distance off the tee.
Along with the R11, TaylorMade is also launching a second line of metalwoods in 2011 – The Burner®SuperFast 2.0. With the R11, we saw a continued focus on versatility and greater variety of options for ball flight. The theory behind the Burner SuperFast 2.0 is much simpler: Distance from Speed.
The theme this year for both the R11 and the Burner is the white on black design of the metalwoods. But cheap TaylorMade golf has done a nice job of incorporating Burner’s speed and distance genes into the club’s aesthetics. While R11, with all its moving parts, looks like a transformer, the Burner has more of an Indy car look and feel that is not only slick, but promotes confidence at address.
The taylormade r11 driver is a bit of a hit and miss for some people mainly because of the white face. The customization you get on this club is probably the most you can get on any club at the minute which is a plus. It is nice and forgiving too on off hits and it makes a nice sound. Distance wise it is what you would expect. It won't go miles further than your current driver but a just a noticeable bit.
