Ping K15 driver features quality, good value and durability. When they demo with it, first swing out of the box went 290+ and very straight. Compared to the former club, the distance is about 20 yards longer. The tester has a slow swing speed around 95-100 and a handicap of 15, he thinks this club is worthy to be recommended to golfers who are slice prone. Compared with IZ, the IZ is a better choice for slow swing speeds. It gives consistent distance, while the K15 perform better when smashed. It definitely feels heavier in your hands, and harder to turn over. But it is also much easier to hit a power fade with the K-15.
PING's latest technological goodie is called SF Tec. SF Tec concentrates approximately 10% of head mass toward the heel which helps square the face of consistently straight tee shots. A large 460cc head significantly increases MOI for discount golf clubs for sale. Weight is saved by thinning the crown and re-distributing that wight to SF Tec's external weight pad to optimize the center of gravity and create a high MOI. The larger surface area of the club face is 5% larger and is highly forgiving on off-center hits and generates faster ball speeds across the entire face.
The heal weight really does enable you to turn your hands over effortlessly and hit the ball straight or even with a draw. The big advantage here is that you can swing harder and still turn your hands over, and thereby get distance you have never had before. It's cool to be able to unleash your drive and not slice it (I have a friend who hooks when he swings too hard, but not me. I slice because my hands are late). The advantage to the cheap Ping K-15 Driver is that I think it has a little sweeter sweet spot. When you hit that right it feels better than the K-15 in my opinion. But you may have to slow down your swing a bit to get it over.
