When you address this club to the ball the irons setup perfectly. Recently Callaway has made their irons slightly smaller and it makes the club much better to line up.
With their low center of gravity and a high moment of inertia, the callaway x20 are forgiving and reliable. The clubs provide distance and accuracy, while the wide sole and large face prevent mishits.
Callaway used its Progressive Wall Reduction System to lower the center of gravity in the x20 irons for sale. The clubs have short, straight, hollow hosels with Tru-Bore Technology, allowing the shaft tip to extend through the clubhead to the sole.
While the x 20 irons do not fit into the ¡®super-game improvement¡¯ category, they are considered game improvement irons, to be sure. That being said, they are not radically different than the older X-Tour irons. As you can see in the pictures above and below, the X-20s are slightly longer heel to toe, have a slightly wider sole, and a slightly thicker top line.
Some of the big features you're going to see from the x20 irons include extreme notch weighting. This helps to redistribute the weight to the extreme perimeter of the iron. This allows you to swing more accurately by having an incredible moment of inertia (physics stuff).
Another feature that the callaway x-20 was a progressive wall reduction system, which helps to lower the center of gravity of the iron. This means that you're going to have a better feel when you swing it and this allows for more playability. This is a nice thing to have when you're playing.
However, if you¡¯re looking for an iron that is slightly more playable, I¡¯d go with the X-20s.
